D.C.'s expat communities, embassies and cultural groups are turning these bars into home hangouts for the World Cup.

For Latin American countries, La Cosecha marketplace will have all the action with large-screen viewing experiences, themed pop-ups and tournament specials — plus plenty of tacos, arepas, pupusas and drinks to match.Casta's at Bodega in West End is also a "Latino Fan Zone" for the tournament, with Spanish-language broadcasts, country-specific drink specials and watch parties for Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and other Latin American nations.Shipgarten in Tysons is setting itself up as a watch party destination in NoVa with room for 1,000+ viewers, 2 massive LED walls, indoor and outdoor projectors — plus country-specific entertainment, including DJs before and after games for Iran, Colombia, Brazil, Ghana and more, as well as live cultural performances like Brazilian Pagode music.Where to watch by country:

Clarendon Ballroom: Arena Brazou is organizing multiple Brazil watch parties throughout the tournament, bringing together the region's Brazilian community with full game sound, DJs and match-day celebrations. Vernon Triangle): The rooftop sports bar is also hosting Brazil-focused viewing parties, including Brazil vs. Morocco on June 13.Mercy Me (West End): Brazilian bar Cana is popping up at the roomy indoor/outdoor Latin restaurant for games (June 13th, 19th and 24th). Duke's Grocery (Foggy Bottom): England supporters are gathering June 17 for a British Embassy watch party for England vs. Croatia with happy-hour drinks, halftime raffles, and gear giveaways (tickets $21). Fans can score a free mezcal shot or beer for each Mexico goal, plus all-game happy hour specials.Taquería Xochi (Navy Yard): The restaurant's "Fútbol, Tacos y Chelas" watch party series kicks off with Mexico vs. South Africa (June 11) and continues throughout the tournament. Expect match-day food and drink specials, fan contests and a festive, footy-themed atmosphere.Cielo Rojo (Takoma Park, MD): Telemundo is popping up at the Mexican restaurant for the first June 11 game.
