Monday Munchies: Centerton sushi

Yes, you can get decent, reasonably priced sushi in Centerton.

🍣 State of play: Takashi Hibachi & Sushi is serving a full menu inside a strip mall where you can stop by the next time you need a reliably good, quick sushi lunch or dinner.

🍱 What to try: Takashi has other locations in Rogers and Pea Ridge, but when in Centerton, I had to get the Centerton roll ($15.25) with shrimp, spicy tuna and crab salad, spicy mayo, eel sauce and masago. It was a quality roll with no surprises and just what I was looking for.

A bento box is a great option if you want a little bit of everything — your choice of a protein with rice and small servings of a California roll and gyoza. The chicken teriyaki bento box ($15.50) proved to be a deal of a sample platter.

🌶️ What to skip: The spring rolls. They're underwhelming, and the smoked stuffed jalapeño roll ($11) is a way better alternative for an appetizer, especially for those who like some spice. It's stuffed with smoked crab, deep-fried, and topped with Hawaiian chili sauce and eel sauce.
