🍌 Banana Ball at Comerica Park: The Party Animals face the Firefighters in this fast-moving, trick-play-heavy spin on baseball. The viral tour drew more than 2 million fans last year.

  • 7pm Friday and Saturday. The games are officially sold out, though limited premium seating may still be available.

    • 👻 FrankenFest at Historic Fort Wayne: More than 100 artists and vendors specializing in monsters, paranormal curiosities and other spooky creations fill the fort, plus hourly aerial shows and food trucks.

  • 11am-6pm Saturday at Historic Fort Wayne. Free!

    • 🎤 Jim Gaffigan brings his "Everything Is Wonderful!" stand-up tour to the Fox Theatre for two nights.

  • 7pm Friday and 8pm Saturday at the Fox Theatre. Tickets start at about $50.

    • 🪩 Dance into the weekend: Channel Tres mixes house, funk, rap and West Coast soul during a stop on his Enigma Tour, with ZAINAB opening.

  • 8pm Friday at the Majestic Theatre. General admission: $50.

    • 🛹 Cartoons & Stereo Vol. 2: Music meets skateboarding at this Detroit festival featuring The Cool Kids, Mavi, Curtis Roach, Stoop Lee and more, plus a skate competition, art and food.

  • Saturday, beginning at 2pm at Big Pink on Detroit's east side. Free!

    • 🍺 Break out the lederhosen: Supergeil's annual Oktoberfest yard party has German beer, roasted pig sandwiches, live polka, yard games and contests in Corktown.

  • 4-9pm Saturday at Supergeil, 2442 Michigan Ave. General admission is free; food and drinks cost extra. A $40 VIP option includes food and two beers.

    • 👣 Explore East Dearborn: City Institute's two-mile guided tour explores East Dearborn's architecture, arts spaces, businesses and cultural institutions, with a few food and drink samples along the way.

  • 1-3pm Saturday, beginning at Haraz Coffee House, 13810 Michigan Ave. Free, but advance registration is required.

    • 🛍️ Spend a September Sunday at Eastern Market, where the seasonal Sunday Market focuses on local artists, makers, clothing and other goods rather than the produce-heavy Saturday scene.
