Where to celebrate the Fourth of July around Boulder

The Fourth of July falls on a Saturday this year, which means the Boulder area has a full weekend of fireworks, festivals and patriotic fun on tap.

The big picture: Boulder may have retired its Folsom Field fireworks show, but there's no shortage of ways and places to celebrate.

Caveat: Due to high fire danger, there's a chance some displays may be called off.

Fireworks shows

πŸŽ† July 3 Fireworks Show, Erie Community Park: As per tradition, the town of Erie will kick things off a day early with food trucks, vendors and an evening fireworks display.
