
Where to celebrate the Fourth of July around Boulder
The Fourth of July falls on a Saturday this year, which means the Boulder area has a full weekend of fireworks, festivals and patriotic fun on tap.
The big picture: Boulder may have retired its Folsom Field fireworks show, but there's no shortage of ways and places to celebrate.
Caveat: Due to high fire danger, there's a chance some displays may be called off.

Fireworks shows
π July 3 Fireworks Show, Erie Community Park: As per tradition, the town of Erie will kick things off a day early with food trucks, vendors and an evening fireworks display.
π Fireworks in Louisville, Coal Creek Golf Course: Enjoy food trucks, face painting, family fun and an evening fireworks show, with shuttle service available.
πΈ Downtown Longmont Family Festival, First Avenue and Emery Street: This family-friendly celebration has three music stages, local business specials, a drone show and fireworks.

π» Boulder Symphony July 4 Concert, Glen Huntington Bandshell: Patriotic favorites, movie soundtracks and American classics will be performed as part of the Arts in the Park series.

πͺ Jamestown Fourth of July, 1 Main St.: This all-day celebration comes complete with a pancake breakfast, town photo, wood splitting contest and live music.
π₯ Niwot Pancake Breakfast, Cottonwood Square: After the most important meal of the day, try out bike decorating and enjoy a patriotic concert and Independence Day parade.
π₯§ 72nd Annual Fourth Fest, Coal Creek Community Center: Dig into the pancake breakfast before a parade, vendor booths, cornhole tournament and pie eating contest.
